Tatsuo Horiuchi, President and CEO of Farmind Corporation gave a speech at the Global Cold Chain Summit (hereinafter, "GCCS") held at the Qingdao Gold Beach Hilton Hotel (Qingdao City) on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

This year, GCCS is the 11th conference held by the Chinese Federation of Logistics Purchasing Associations and the Chinese Cold Chain Logistics Association*. The aim is to develop businesses by sharing and exchanging expertise among experts in cold chains worldwide. We have been in the second stage since last year.

On the day of the meeting, approximately 1,200 people attended the meeting, including executives from approximately 400 logistics-related companies in 20 countries around the world, as well as employees from embassies in 15 countries, including the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

In the speech, Farmind introduced our corporate profile, the functions we possess, and our business models in Japan. In addition, in the Chinese fruit and vegetables sector, where we faced the same challenges as in Japan, such as the segmentation of manufacturing and retailing, we explained how to maximize the profits of producers and consumers by leveraging Farmind's know-how.

The participants from the Chinese industry expressed strong interest in our business model and the possibilities for development in China, and many opinions were exchanged after the lecture.

On Thursday, May 9, 2019, Farmind became a vice chairman of the Chinese Cold Chain Association. As a vice-chairman, we will use the knowledge and experience we have cultivated to support the development of the fresh food distribution industry in China.

Based on our corporate philosophy of "Bringing producers and consumers together," we will continue to contribute to the development of domestic and overseas fruit and vegetable distribution from various perspectives.
